Capo: 1 Tuning: E A D G B E
Song: I'll never find another you Artist: The Seekers Composer: Tom Springfield Tabbed by DJ 25th Aug 2015 Here's a link to a video of The Seekers playing this song live at the BBC back in 1968: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Ga9Bs4fzSY In this TV performance in 2004, the chords are seen more clearly: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSi_9rI6yNE For the later 50th anniversary tour performances they dropped the key down a semi-tone to A (so as shown below, but without a capo). For Keith Podger's part, his 12 string is tuned down a whole tone to DGCFAD, and he plays the song in C (which still sounds in Bb). As well as the blend of the 6 and 12 string guitars, the detuning takes some strain off the 12 string's neck and adds extra tones and harmonics which gave the band a much fuller live sound. Here's Keith's intro riff in dropped tuning (which will sound in Bb): (C) (F) (G) d |-----------------|-----3-------------| [x4] A |-----------------|-----3-------------| F |-------0---------|-----0-------------| C |-----2---3-2-0---|-----0----------0--| G |--3--------------|----(2)-------2----| D |-----------------|--3------3---------| Here's the riff in standard tuning (CAPO at 1st fret, will then sound in Bb): (A) (D) (E) e |------------------|-----0------------| [x4] B |------------------|-----0------------| G |------------------|-----1------------| D |-------2--0-------|-----2------------| A |--0--4-------4--2-|----(2)--------2--| E |------------------|--0-----0----4----| The full tab below is the way Bruce Woodley played the song on his six string acoustic. CAPO: 1st fret (Will then sound in the recorded key of Bb) Chord names and fret positions are relative to the capo: A = x02220 E = 022100 E/D = xx0454 C#m = x46654 D = xx0232 E7 = 022130 B7 = x24242 F#m = 244222 Please select a star rating for this tab, many thanks ================================================================== [Intro] E A D E | / / / / | / / / / | / / / / | / / / / | ^ ^ ^ ^ A D E E7 A D | / / / / | / / / / | / / / / | [Verse 1]
