On The Road To Find Out – Cat Stevens
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Written by: Cat Stevens
From: "Tea For The Tillerman" [1970]
Tabbed by: maguri
Tuning: Standard
NOTE
One word in the final part of the song is not quite clear. The official
lyrics printed on the album have "Pick up a good book now" and on contemporary
live versions Cat Stevens sings "a", too [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPv0-9Q79a4].
On the studio recording, however, the article sounds almost like "the".
"The" good book then would have a clear Christian message, "the" good book
being "the Good Book", the Bible.
Here's what I found about this ambiguous line:
"When asked about this he [Cat Stevens] told Yentob that – as far as he recalled
- he had originally written "pick up the Good Book now" - an obvious allusion
to the Bible, but had altered it to avoid its being taken up by 'Bible bashers.'"

In this chord sheet I stay with the official version of the lyrics.
