GDoo do do doo do do doo do oooh wooo
One time I spent a Cweek inside a Glittle county jail
And I don't guess CI'll ever live it Gdown
I was sitting at a Cred light when these Gtwo men came and got me
And Csaid that I was speeding through their D7town
GWell they said tomorrow Cmorning you can Gsee the judge then go
They let me call one Cperson on the Gphone
I thought I'd be Cthere overnight so I Gjust called my boss
To Ctell him I'd be off but not for D7long
GThey motioned me inCside a cell with Gseven other guys
And one little barred up Cwindow in the Grear
My cell mate said if Cthey had let me Gbring some money in
We Cought to send the jailer for some D7beer
GWell I had to pay him double Ccause he was the Gman in charge
And the jailer's job was Cnot the best in Gtown
Later on his wife Cbrought hot baloney Geggs and gravy
The Cfirst day I was there I turned it D7down
GNext morning they just let us Csleep but I was up Greal early
Wondering when CI'd get my reGlease
Later on we got Cmore hot baloney Geggs n' gravy
By Cnow I wasn't quite so hard to D7please
GTwo days later when I Cthought that I had Gbeen forgotten
The sheriff came in Cchewing on a Gstraw
He said where is the Cguy who thinks that this is GIndianapolis
I'd Clike to talk to him about the D7law
GWell I told him who I Cwas and told him I was Gworking steady
And I Creally should be getting on my Gway
That part about me Cbeing who I was Gdid not impress him
He Csaid the judge would be here any D7day
GThe jailer had a wife and Clet me tell ya she was Gawful
But she brought that hot Cbaloney every Gday
And after seven Cdays she got to Glooking so much better
I Casked her if she'd like to run D7away
GNext morning that ole Cjudge took every Gnickel that I had
And he said son let this Cteach you not to Grace
The jailer's wife was Csmiling from the Gwindow as I left
In Cthirty minutes I was outta D7state
GDoo do do doo do do doo do doo dooo
