Artist: The Pretenders
Song: Talk of the town
Tabbed by: DJ
6th July 2014
This is based on the full version of the original single,
which is found on The Pretenders 'Greatest Hits' album.
The 'Pretenders II' album had a shorter edited version.
Chrissie now plays a simplified version on acoustic sessions, but
I've tried to emulate what I can hear on the record, with the chords
taking into account a bit of what Pete Farndon was playing on bass.
(G/F#)= 2xxxxx A7sus2= x02000 G/B = x20033 D4 = xx0233
G = 320033 Am7 = x02010 Cadd9 = x32033 C/G = 332010
C = x32013 B7 = x21202 D = xx0232
I find the (G/F#) to G and the (G/B) to C easier as a hammer-on,
but it is probably better as a slide.
