I know what you're thinking. "Chop Suey! isn't in standard!". I am well aware that Chop Suey! isn't played in
standard, but I have a reason why I am tabbing it this way. (Que long back story). When I first started to
teach myself guitar, I didn't have a tuner. I really couldn't acurately play songs out of standrad tuning.
I really wanted to learn Chop Suey! and other SOAD songs, but couldn't because they all were out of standard.
I'm tabbing this in standard for all the beginners who are in my situation. Enjoy!
[Intro]
The intro has some over dubbed riffs.
Riff 1 (Clean)-Basic Idea of strumming pattern. Listen to the song if you want it to be more acurate.

[Outro]
Riff 1 (Heavy Distortion)-This part is the only part of the song that actually can't be played in standard
correctly. I have taken out the lowest note of the second chord because that is the only note that is not
playable in standard. It still sounds good.
e|------------------|
B|------------------|
G|----------3---4---|x6
D|------1---3---3---|
A|--5---1---1---1---|
E|--3---------------|
The sixth time, the last chord is strummed as they're saying, "angels deserve to die." The actual chord
they're playing (according to my hearing) is too low for standard. You can either strum the last chord or the
first chord for the ending.
Riff 2 (Clean)
Just like before, play each power chord 16 times. The first one is an example.
e|--6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6---8----5---10--6---8----5---10---10---11---8----11---10---11---8----11--|

G|----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
e|--6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6----8----5---10---10---11---8----11----|
B|--8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8----10---6---11---11---13---10---13----|
G|------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|------------------------------------------------------------------------|
I don't think riff 2 has any strumming like riff 1 at the end.
Hope you enjoyed!
