Artist: Placebo Song: Jesus' Son I've been watching videos of them playing this live and my conclusion is they use D standard tuning for this. An odd tuning for Placebo, if I may say. However, you could use the basic A, D, F# but using this chords you will get a far more similar feeling to their original composition. Chords are these: FM7/A Dmadd9 C#add4/F# x x x x x x 0 0 0 9 9 6 9 9 6 7 0 4 Bear in mind that they mostly strum on the 3 low strings, using the 3rd string (a high F in D standard tuning) just for adding feeling and like an obstinato for the song. I used these chords in my cover version which you can find in my soundcloud (https://soundcloud.com/jcgalindof/jesuss-son) Please bear in mind that the original Song is recorded in about 130bpm but I used 120bpm for a more ballad-like feeling. If you play it like these on an acoustic solo set it will sound awesome. FINAL NOTES. If you're playing in a gig with a full band you may also just use a drop D tuning and strum only the lower 3 strings and also transport the solo 2 frets lower so you can get the song without re-tuning hyour guitar. You will lose the high F arrangement but if you're with a full band it might not be that noticeable. I have personally never tried this but is achievable. Just enjoy. [Verse 1]
