My Heart Hurts - Nick Lowe Tabbed by: Jeff Linam email: jlinam@well.com This is a great Nick Lowe song. I couldn't beleive it wasn't already posted here, so I had to figure it out for myself. Listen to the song for the strum pattern. I play this with open chords except for the last part of the chorus, where I use a barred A chord starting at the 7th fret, up through the 5th, 4th and ending at the 2nd. Intro/main chord progression: A E D D E A A E D E A Verse 1: --------
AI get it Eevery Dday DI'm getting Eused to Ait
ANow every Etime it Dhits EMy heart Aquits
AI wear a Elittle Dsmile DWhile swalElowing Athe dirt
ABut underEneath my Dshirt EMy heart Ahurts
(Intro chords) Verse 2: --------
AIt's murder Ebut it's Dnice DGetting Eaway with Ait
AThe time you Elet it Dslip EI liked Ait
AMy fingers Eand my Athumbs DOvercome Eme with Amirth
ABut underEneath my Dshirt EMy heart Ahurts
(strum A for 4 bars leading into chorus) Chorus: -------
DLord, if Eyou're Alonely EYou DMust be out Eof your Amind
ELord, Bif Eyou're lonely BYou must be out of your Emi--Di--C#i--Bind
Verse 3: --------
AI get it Eevery Dday DI'm getting Eused to Ait
ANow every Etime it Dhits EMy heart Aquits
AYour taste Eis for the Dtask DYour fondness Eis to Dflirt
ABut underEneath my Dshirt EMy heart Ahurts
(Intro chords) (Strum A 4 bars leading into chorus) (Chorus) (Repeat verse 1) Repeat main chord progression 4x to fade, with no lyrics except "My heart hurts" at the appropriate part at the end. I'm not entirely sure that the second half of the chorus is correct. May be missing a chord in there. Anyways, this is pretty close, if not 100%.
