^CI love to sit around the yacht club bar ^Fand talk about the things w^Ce’re going to do.

^Dbecause it doesn’t ^Gmove. c The swells are big and the winds are high but ^Fthat don’t bother ^Cme. ^CCause I never get lost and my tummy doesn’t toss ^G7It’s a wonderful life on th^Ce sea.

^CMy boat it is a big one boys. ^FMy crew it is the ^Cbest.

^Dbeating all the^G rest. ^CWe’re the first ones home with a bent elbow ^Fand a powerful salt spray thirst. ^CWe sit around and drink all night ^G7and see who comes ^Cin first.

^CI took her out one Sunday, ^Fwe got about five miles ^Cout

^Dright dead out of the^G south. ^CThe waves they must have been two feet high, ^Fthe swells at least one ^Cmore. ^CI’m so lost and my tummy is tossed, ^G7I’ll never get back to the sh^Core.

^CMy head it was a reeling, ^Fmy feet got tangled u^Cp. ^CThose damn old sheets were everywhere, ^Djust trying to trip me u^Gp. ^CThe halyard broke, the boom fell down, ^Fthe main took off like a ^Cbird. ^CMayday was my final cry ^G7as I dived beneath my ^Cberth.

^CMy sailing days are over, ^Fcause of that great sc^Care C. You others take a warning, ^Dand don’t you go out the^Gre. ^CThere’s winds and seas and swells so high, ^Fhow can you stay afloa^Ct ^CBe like me and drink to the sea ^G7and don’t untie your boat.
