Here are the chords to the traditional Irish song, "The Minstrel Boy
to the War Has Gone"
(I just checked my songbook: I _do_ have tab. It will take me some
time (over the weekend, I think) to get it into machine-readable form
I'll be following this up then.)
THE MINSTREL BOY TO THE WAR HAS GONE
(Traditional)
The Dminstrel boy to the war Ahas Dgone.
In the Granks Dof death you will Afind Dhim.
His father's sword he has girAded Don
And his Gwild Dharp slung beAhind Dhim.
Bm"ALanGd of soAng,"G saAid thDe warrior bard,
"ThGough all the worAld beDtray thee,
One sword at least thy roads Ashall Dguard,
One GfaithDful heart shall Apraise Dthee."
The minstrel fell, but the foeman's chain
Could not bring that proud soul under.
The harp he loved never spoke again,
For he tore its cords asunder,
And said, "No chain shall sully thee
Thou soul of love and bravery.
My songs remain for the pure and free.
They shall never sound in slavery."

| ELYOT: Nasty insistent little tune.
