In the quCiet misty morning, when the C/Emoon has gone to Fbed, When the Csparrows stop their singing and the Amsky is clear and Gred, When the Csummer's ceased its gleaming, when the C/Ecorn is past its Fprime, When adveCnture's lost its meaning, I'll be Amhomeward Fbound inC time. Bind me nCot to the FpastCure. Chain me Fnot to the pGlow. F Am (') C G C Set me free to find my calling and I'll return to you somehow. If you fiCnd it's me you're missing, if you're C/Ehoping I'll Freturn, To your Cthoughts I'll soon be list'ning; in the Amroad I'll stop and Gturn. Then theC wind will set me racing as my C/Ejourney nears its Fend, And the Cpath I'll be reAmtracing when I'm Fhomeward bound agaiCn. Bind me nCot to the FpastCure. Chain me Fnot to the pGlow. F Am (') C G C Set me free to find my calling and I'll return to you somehow. (Trill between 1st fret 2nd string and 3rd fret 1st string) In the quiet misty morning when the moon has gone to bed, C (') C When the sparrows stop their singing, I'll be homeward bound again.
the (') indicates a break in the music This is how I play it and it works out well. It's a bit different than the piano score, but I feel like it works better for the guitar anyway. Hope this helps.
