This is my translation of the well known and well loved Israeli song בלדה לשוטר, "The Policeman's Ballad",
from the 1971 Ephraim Kishon film "The Policeman".
This is not exactly a word-for-word translation, but I tried to preserve the meaning and rhyme scheme as best
I could so that the words align with the chord strumming.
