The tuning is GDAe. This theme was written by Nino Rota and conducted by Carlo Savina and released for the official Godfather soundtrack in 1972: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zbSMCyJkUmI Originally an instrumental, it would later have lyrics added in various languages. The Sicilian version "Brucia la terra" was most popular from making an appearance in The Godfather Part III. Other version are "Speak softly, love" in English, "Parla più piano" in Italian, "Pale plus bas" in French and "Amor háblame dulcemente" in Spanish. Here, I worked out the original score and transposed the harmonica and flute sections to the mandolin. As it's an instrumental, the piece does not have a verse, bridge or chorus segments.
