This is how I play Red, White, and Blue on my acoustic. It sonds pretty close to me. is standard and all the chords are basic. When you get to the places where you end with A chord and start a new line with the A chord, give a quick lift on it to get the break you hear in the song.
AWe don't have no plastic L.A. friends, GAin't on the edge of no popular trend, DAin't never seen the inside of that magazine GAQ. (LIFT)A We don't care if you're a lawyer, or a Texas oil man, GOr some waitress bustin' ass in some liquor stand. DIf you got soul we hang out with people just lAike you.
CHORUS: Give a quick lift on the A chord here.
AMy hair's turnin' EmWhite. My neck's always been DRed. My collar's still ABlue. We've always been Ghere, Just tryin' to sing the Dtruth to you. Guess, you canG say, We've always Dbeen, Red, White, and ABlue.
ARide our own bikes to Sturgis and pay our own dues, GSmokin' camels and drinkin' domestic brews. DIf you want to know where i've been, just look at my Ahands. (LIFT)A Yeah, I driven by the White House and spent some time in jail. GMamma cried but she still wouldn't pay my bail. DI ain't been no angel, but even God he underAstands.
CHORUS:LIFT ON THE A SOLO:
AMy Daddy worked hard and so have I. GWe paid our taxes and gave our lives, to Dserve this great country So what are they complainin' aAbout. (LIFT)A Yeah we love our families, we love our kids. GYou know it's love that makes us all so rich. DThat's where we're at, if they don't like it they can just, Just,A GET THE HELL OUT!!
CHORUS: LIFT ON THE A Here is where they get all crazy like at the end of most of their songs, so I just the the chorus again and finish STRONG on the last RED, WHITE, and BLUE. I hope you like version.
