Linkin Park - Somewhere I Belong ( Duet )
Another Linkin Park duet but once again I did not
tab MUCH of this. I merely arranged this for a
standard tuned guitar with a C# tuned guitar.
The original version is recorded with mike shinoda
playing C# tuned guitar I think, and delson playing
(B, E, A, D, G, B and half a step down).
But if you are like me..i like to keep my guitar
in one tuning even when I play with a friend. The Duet follows!
Guitar 1: Drop D then half step down:
from bottom to top (C#, G#, C#, F#, A#, D#)
Guitar 2: Standard
(E, A, D, G, B, E)
For those who don’t know: the weird sweeping
electronic effect that goes through this whole
track is a backwards and altered version of
Chester playing chords on his guitar.
To get this effect you might want to play the
follow chords using your ‘least bass-y’ pickup
and by strumming slowly with your thumb near
the bridge of your guitar. While doing this you
can reach your pinky out to control the volume.
You play the chord..bring volume up then
suddenly dim it for the next one
