Tuning: G C E A
This is written for a ukulele with low G tuning. I can only imagine it would sound, ah, interesting with
traditional reentrant (gcea) ukulele tuning. This version more closely matches the tutorials I've seen
for playing on the piano. On the piano it is played in the key of Eb. Capo the first fret if you would like
to match the piano.
This is not a guitar tab. If you don't know what a ukulele is, why it is categorized this way, don't
understand why the strings are Gcea, etc., please find another tab to rate. Also, this is not a tab for your
guitar (did I mention that?). If you would like to comment on this tab, please include constructive criticism
such as "the bridge should be different because xxx," not just "I didn't like this tab".
Chords should be plucked using the following pattern for both verse and chorus in order to mimic the piano:
A
a|-----------------|
e|-----0-------0---|
c|-----1-------1---|
G|-2-------2-------|
Chords patterns: (note in particular the pattern for Em. It sounds ungood as 0432.)
Em:4432
G:0232
D:2220
A:2100
The 0s and 4s on the G string throughout this song are optional/advanced. On the piano the '0' and '4' notes
are played at the same time for these chords. This is somewhat difficult on the uke. :-)
For every '4' you can play a '0' if it sounds better to you, and vise versa. Playing all 0s is easiest.
