Tuning:
This is my attempt of finding the chords that belong to Birdy’s song Without a word. This will not sound 100% like the original one, and thats not what I intented to do either, so its a little of my own version, but it should work. [Intro] G Bm G Bm G Bm G Bm [Verse] (All of the chords are played the same, except for C which is half a time longer, and D which is half a time shorter. So if the normal chord was four, C would be 6 and D would be 2)
GAnd you can tell the worBmld CThat you're leaving D GAnd you can pack your baBmgs CAnd spread your wings D GAnd you can tell them alBml CThat it's over D GBut while you wave goodbye Bm C C9 (I play this without the finger on the third string) I'll be getting closer
[Chorus] In the chorus, I play the C9 like described above. It also works with a normal C
GStand there and look into my eyes C9 GAnd tell me that all we had were liC9es GShow me that you don't care C9 GAnd I'll stay here if you preC9fer C9Yes I'll leave you without a woGrd C9Without a word
The chords are the same as written before in the next verse and chorus :) And you can tell the world That you're tired But your excuses, they won't work 'Cause I'll know that you're lying Every time that I see your face I notice all the suffering Just turn to my embrace I won't let you come to nothing Stand there and look into my eyes And tell me that all we had were lies Show me that you don't care And I'll stay here if you prefer Yes I'll leave you without a word
