Capo: 3
Billy Currington Good Directions This is the actual version of the song (no capo). I made this tab so it would be easy to transpose. Billy Currington plays this song live with a capo on the 3rd fret (transpose 3 steps down). However, I believe that on the studio recording the guitar player plays this song with a capo on the 5th fret (transpose 5 steps down). This seems to match the chord voicing of the studio track and would adhere to Nashville's K.I.S.S. methodology. Capo 5 works very well for the F, C/E, Dm (C, G/B, Am capo 5th fret) chord progression during the bridge. Intro: F Am Bb C F C7 Verse I:
I was sittin' there Fsellin' turnips on a flatbed truck AmCrunchin' on a pork rind when she pulled up She Bbhad to be thinkin' "ThiCs is where Rednecks Dmcome from" She had FHollywood written on her license plate She was Amlost and lookin' for the interstate BbNeedin' directionsC and I was the man for the Fjob

*During the bridge, the F before the instrumental could be a Dm. The vocals seem to have a minor tonality to them. However, the bass sounds like it is playing an F. A Dm could be substituted here if desired.
